Drivers have been waiting for the fifth-generation Honda CR-V and it’s finally hitting the streets this winter. The redesigned small SUV will boast improved performance, fuel economy, and an upgraded interior. The new model will also boast new styling that sets it apart from the competition.
The all-new 2017 Honda CR-V will see a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine as well as the 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that debuted in the new Civic. There aren’t any officially fuel economy ratings just yet, but Honda is expecting best-in-class numbers.
To meet demand, Honda is also opening up a third production line at its Greensburg, Indiana plant. That location joins East Liberty, Ohio and Alliston, Ontario in producing one of the brand’s most popular models.
Inside, drivers can expect to see an additional 10 inches of rear cargo space as well as two inches of extra rear seat legroom. A new infotainment system and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility will also make the list.
Outside, the 2017 Honda CR-V will see a more athletic stance accented by LED headlights and taillights. The front and rear have also been restyled for a fresh look that’s sure to be welcomed by drivers of all ages.
We here at Apple Honda are pumped for the new CR-V to hit the streets!
